Parent Scholars

Resources and services that support the success and empowerment of students who are parents and caretakers for children under the age of 18

Rights and Policies

A new addition to your family or the responsibility of being a parent or caretaker does not impact the support you receive.

Under Title IX, sex discrimination – including discrimination on the basis of a student’s pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, or recovery from any of these – is prohibited in educational programs and activities. Fresno State does not exclude or limit the participation of pregnant students (or students who have been pregnant) in its programs on either of those bases. No rule may be established in a Fresno State sponsored activity or program related to a student’s parental, family or marital status that treats students differently based on their sex.

Programs and Services

Our campus offers a number of programs listed below that support the familial, wellbeing and development needs of parent scholars. For questions or suggestions, please email parentscholars@mail.fresnostate.edu.
