Process

Referral forms are reviewed daily (Monday-Friday). The BIT Teams will investigate the issue and make referral to the most appropriate BIT team(s) and determine appropriate interventions and/or resources, if any, are needed. The BIT team will follow up with the individual initiating the report to gather additional information.  If a situation demands immediate attention or happens overnight or during the weekend, please alert University Police by calling 559.278.8400.

Note: It is important to remember that in most situations the BIT Teams may not be able to provide detailed follow-up information to the reporting person. Information is shared on a need-to-know basis.
