Degrees & Programs
The Department of History at California State University, Fresno offers a variety of programs, including a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a History Minor, and a Masters of Arts Degree with two different options: Traditional Track and Teaching Option, and a Jewish Studies Program.
The Department also houses the Social Sciences Single Subject Credential Program. Moreover, the department participates in the interdisciplinary programs and minors in Armenian Studies, Asian Studies, Classical Studies, Latin American Studies, Russian Area Studies, and Women's Studies.
History courses may also be used as electives toward graduation in most other majors, and the Department encourages students to take minors and second majors in other fields.
The History Department at California State University, Fresno is especially strong in the areas of Modern European History, United States History, Latin American History, Chinese and World History, and Military History.
