DISCOVERe Device Loaner Program
Many Fresno State students are eligible to receive a DISCOVERe mobile device such as an iPad. Our DISCOVERe program first lends devices to students enrolled in DISCOVERe courses. View a list of all DISCOVERe courses for the Fall 2021 semester.NOTE: It is important to set a reservation time to pick up or return the device(s). We do not accept walk-in appointments.
DISCOVERe mobile devices such as iPads will be loaned to students who are enrolled in DISCOVERe courses this fall. Students can keep the device for use during the spring 2022 semester if they continue to be enrolled in a DISCOVERe course.
Any surplus of mobile devices will require a student application and will be distributed based on specific criteria and will be returned at the end of the semester
A student may obtain a hotspot for use during the fall semester if they are taking nine (9) or more units online (virtual instruction) or if they can demonstrate a lack of Wi-Fi service at their place of residence.
Priority for loaner iPads or Surface Pros will be given to employees who are not part of the faculty laptop program and/or have not checked out a laptop from the library tech lending program
All employees currently have access to on-campus Wi-Fi and are typically not eligible for a hotspot.
You will come to the DISCOVERe Hub (located on the first floor of the Henry Madden Library) at your designated time to pick up the device(s). You will need to bring your Student ID card to enter the library. A face mask is required to enter the library.
Please allow yourself at least 15 minutes to complete the device loaner agreement as well as the initial setup of your devices(s).
Bring Your Own Device
Students can use a personally-owned tablet as long as it meets the minimum tablet specifications.
If you need to return your device, please make an appointment here.
Returns will be at the DISCOVERe Hub (located on the first floor of the Henry Madden Library). Please bring the device(s), any accessories, and your student ID to complete a successful return. Your Student ID will be needed to enter the library. A face mask is required.
