The Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology

2016-2017 Spring / Summer Newsletter

Dean Sandra WitteA MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN...

Greetings! I am happy to report that we had our largest harvest ever – more than 600 students graduating this year!  We had so many amazing students walk across the stage at the Save Mart Center at the Jordan College’s 48th Annual Convocation on May 19. Two of those amazing students were Undergraduate Dean’s Medalist Kendall Bailey (Department of Child, Family and Consumer Sciences) and Graduate Dean’s Medalist Touyee Thao (Department of Plant Science).

We've had so many other recent highlights, and some include the dedication of the Bee Sweet Citrus Fresh Fruit Packing Line, a new irrigation system made possible through a partnership with Cal West Rain and Netafim, and the Ag Discovery high school camp that has drawn students from across the state, nation and beyond to learn how amazing Central Valley agriculture really is from our faculty and staff.   Read more
