Bert Mason

Bert Mason Retired in 2010

Dr. Bert Mason is a Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Business at California State University, Fresno, where he taught and conducted research in agricultural labor relations, immigration policy and farm labor markets.  From 1999-2002, he served as a board member of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board.  He has held various positions at Fresno State, including Director of the Center for Agricultural Business and Chair of the Department of Agricultural Business.  Prior to joining the faculty in 1983, he held positions with the Solar Energy Research Institute in Colorado, and was an assistant professor of agricultural economics at Cornell.

Dr. Mason holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from U.C. Davis and a B.A. in Honors Economics from Stanford University.  He is a native of Lindsay, California where his family farmed oranges and olives.
