Fresno State

[ 11/06/2020 11:29 AM ]

Dear Students and Colleagues,

Please note the following information is applicable only to students and faculty who will be on campus for in-person classes, to staff (including student assistants) who have been approved to work on campus this fall and to residents living in University Courtyard.

The University regularly monitors the air quality index (AQI) in Fresno County, using the Environmental Protection Agency’s AirNow website. As of 11:15 a.m. today, the readings from the closest monitor, located in Clovis, indicate the AQI is at 152.

Since air quality on campus has remained at unhealthy levels for a prolonged period, we are moving all work activities indoors today, including public-safety personnel who usually conduct the required daily health screenings and temperature checks.

Please note that anyone coming to campus today will still need to complete the daily screening questionnaire on their mobile device. However, the checkpoints will not be open. (The daily health-screening questionnaire is also easily accessed through the Fresno State app. For iOS devices, download the app in the Apple App Store. For Android devices, download the app in Google Play.)

Thank you for continuing to follow the public-health protocols to protect the health and well-being of our students and colleagues.

Sincerely,

Debbie Adishian-Astone

Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer
