Our group is interested in the origins and impacts of air pollution. We study chemical reactions that lead to smog formation in the lab, measure levels of key air pollutants in the atmosphere, and work with biomedical scientists to investigate potential relationships between exposure to air pollutants and health effects.

Our group uses innovative approaches to study small-scale meteorological processes. These measurements of air pollutant emissions and transport are critical to our understanding of smog formation within the region.
