The Department offers three options within the Bachelor of Science in the Business Administration degree program: (1) Finance, (2) International Business, and (3) Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Please feel free to browse through and get all the information needed.

Undergraduates with a Bachelor of Science Degree/Finance Option can take advantage of our innovative, challenging, high quality learning experiences, including the Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Program that is currently managing $4 million endowment funds for the Fresno State Foundation. The SMIF Program just won national champion in growth style at an international student-managed portfolio competition in 2014. Our students often pursue professional designations/licenses such as the CFA, CFP, etc.

Career opportunities in finance include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) corporate finance - financial analyst, financial planning, project finance; (2) portfolio management - security analyst, stock broker, investment banker, portfolio manager; and (3) banking and financial institutions - commercial and residential loan officers, trust officer, marketing officer.

Career opportunities for undergraduates with a Bachelor of Science Degree/Real Estate and Urban Land Economics Option include, but are not limited to, the following activities: (1) entrepreneurial activity (development); (2) investing activities; (3) lending activities; (4) governing activities (planning, assessing); (5) professional activities (appraisal, brokerage, consulting); (6) consuming activities (home ownership, corporate real estate); and (7) successor entrepreneurial activities.

Global business is expanding and creating exciting opportunities for business managers who possess the ability to engage in business activities in an international context. The Bachelor of Science Degree/International Business Option provides students with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to participate and succeed in this growing field. International Business majors can find employment in many manufacturing, service or knowledge-based industries that deal with international markets, international suppliers, international sources of finance, and with an internationally diverse workforce.
