Pass/No Pass Courses

The Admissions Committee prefers a letter grade, however, when not able due to the COVID-19 situation, we will consider CR/NC, P/NP, S/U if your university requries you to take the course with this status

Letters of Recommendation

No changes at this time.  **In order to request a waiver for this requirement, you must submit a letter to me explaining your situation and request and I will review it with our admissions committee to make a decision on an individual basis.

Observation Hours

We understand that applicants may have difficulty obtaining or completing shadowing experiences as facilities adjust to providing care during this public health pandemic.  We will review what you have completed for observation hours, and review your response to the supplemental question on PTCAS.

PTCAS Supplemental Question

  • If you were unable to complete the minimum physical therapy observation hours (100 total, 20 within an inpatient setting) because of the COVID-19 pandemic, please provide more information about your individual situation here.  If you have documentation to support your situation (such as verification of your volunteer orientation/registration at a hospital, etc.), please attach that to the application under supplemental documents. The Admissions Committee will review responses on an individual basis.

GRE

GRE is offering an online, at-home testing option- We will continue to require applicants to take the GRE.  If you have not done so already, please look into the GRE At Home Option if a testing center is not available near you

Interview

  • We hope to conduct our interview in-person, but might have to resort to a virtual interview day based on county guidelines.

Fresno State has created a virtual tour for you to get a "feel" for our campus.
