Three die "two students and a baby" in head-on crash near Five Points

The driver of the other car, Adriana Solorio Romero, 24, of Five Points, also died at the scene. She had just completed her bachelor of science degree in child development at the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at Fresno State. Her name is listed in the commencement program for the May 20 graduation ceremony and she participated in the Chicano/Latino commencement celebration that day, according to Fresno State.

The AT&T LTE network covers more than 400 million people in North America. Notable Fresno network enhancements in 2016 included adding network capacity to the Distributed Antenna System (DAS) that serves Fresno State University's Bulldog Stadium and increasing LTE capacity by 60 percent compared to last season.

Fresno State graduate Adriana Romero had just received a degree in child development and died when, for unknown reasons, 18-year-old Joanna Delgado swerved into her lane and collided head-on. The sole survivor of the crash, Delgado's 16-year-old boyfriend, is in critical condition. The two were on their way home from a weekend in Los Angeles when they were involved in the deadly crash.

Controversy Sparked By Cancelled Professor Search at Fresno State

California State University at Fresno cancelled its search for an assistant professor in Middle Eastern studies last week citing procedural issues involving the election, approval of the search committee, and the influence of an “unauthorized party” in the search efforts. This came as a response to faculty claims that the school was actively participating in academic censorship.

The unsupported assumptions about the situation at Fresno State have rapidly multiplied, as Jewish Voice for Peace has now circulated a letter stating that the search for the Edward Said Professorship was “cancelled with the pretext of procedural concerns, but in fact in response to pressures from Israel advocacy groups.” As I have explained (here and here), there is no actual evidence for this claim.

LATE LAST YEAR, the California State University at Fresno began soliciting applicants for a newly created Edward Said Professorship in Middle East Studies, a teaching role named after the late Palestinian-American public intellectual. In a job posting, the school described the role as a “tenure-track, academic-year position” teaching courses on the Middle East and helping develop the school curriculum.

Poison ready for 'nothin' but a good time' in Valley

Currently, his band Poison is on tour with Def Leppard – fitting as Rolling Stone recently named Poison’s “Look What the Cat Dragged in” and Def Leppard’s “Hysteria” the top two greatest hair metal albums of all time. The tour, which stops Monday, June 12 at the Save Mart Center on the campus of Fresno State, wraps up later this summer at which point Michaels will immediately go back out on tour with his solo band.
