The districts know what their needs are, said Fuller.However Fresno State Sociology Professor Dr. MatthewJendian said extra time in the morning is necessary for students.Children who are in high school need 10 hours of sleep a night to function normally throughout the day, he said.Jendian said adequate sleep for teens is crucial to the learning process.
