Fresno leaders make new offer to keep state FFA convention

The annual convention is a big event for Fresno State, which provides roughly 200 students and faculty members to help put it on. On the Sunday of each convention, members are bused over to the university for educational workshops and judging contests. One backpack at a time Community Food Bank is making sure children in the Valley do not go hungry. Seven-hundred students are enrolled in the school backpack program across nine Central Valley campuses. Each child, hand selected by school administrators to receive a backpack full of food over the weekend. Community foodbank works with 220 partnered agencies- collectively serving more than 280 thousand people per month. "So think of us as the food banks food bank. Tuesday, Fresno State entrepreneur students presented their business idea to a panel of judges as part of the 157 Entrepreneurship Expo. Professor Nelson Sebra created the event in 2014 to provide students with the opportunity to market their businesses at a trade show. "It is one thing to want to be in business and it is another thing to actually understand what that involves. And so any business you have you are going to need to promote it. Bright red cherries were carefully harvested in the Fresno State orchard. Rob Willmott manages all of the orchards on campus. The thousand acre farm is out in the open so customers always want to know when crops come into season. "They've been calling for cherries for the last week. Tulare man bequests $1 million to Fresno State dairy

Thanks to the generosity of one Tulare man, the Fresno State dairy science program has an even brighter future.
