(College Planning & Management© 03/012017)
[Fresno State] School of Education had a problem. They needed to squeeze six more students into their computer class, bumping the number from 24 to 30. Otto Benavides, emeritus professor/director, had an idea. Knowing that the existing room couldn’t support the extra bodies or technology, he proposed something new; a student-centered classroom that encouraged collaboration. The result was Cal State Fresno’s first collaborative classroom.

(Los Angeles Times © 03/28/2017)
My higher education was provided by the California Master Plan for Higher Education and allowed me to attend, tuition free, Reedley College and, eventually,[ Fresno State], where the tuition in 1963 was less than $60 a term (student association fees). Attending UC Berkeley did not cost much more, and plenty of classes were available at both campuses.

(Fresno Bee © 03/25/2017)
Nothing seems more natural than changing moral opinion. It is self-evident that we disagree about morality. "That is why we need a secular political system that includes a separation of powers, a system of checks and balances, a strong commitment to protect liberty of conscience" and judges who understand this. Andrew Fiala is a professor of philosophy and director of The Ethics Center at Fresno State: @PhilosophyFiala.

I think there will be continued efforts to erode the affordable care act at the federal level, and really scary efforts to erode many of the support systems for low-income people."

They have a mobile app that pings users when a catered event on campus has leftovers available for pickup.
