Fresno State Signs Ag Academic Pact with Brazilian University

Fresno State and the University of São Paulo have agreed to an official memorandum of agreement to broaden their cooperative agriculture student, faculty and staff exchange programs. Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro and Dr. Sandra Witte, dean of the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at Fresno State, signed the agreement on campus March 1 with three University of São.

In Fresno State's 'Great God Pan,' a family confronts a troubling memory

In Amy Herzog's 2012 play "The Great God Pan" the suggestion of a possible childhood trauma forces a man to seek answers by sorting through fragments of childhood memories. And as we all know, memories can be fragile and inconsistent. He ventures into a murky world of his past that only becomes more muddy as memories are dislodged, says Fresno State director Kathleen McKinley of the family drama. The production opens Friday.

Car burglaries rise by more than 60 percent in Northeast Fresno

Police say there's been a spike in car break-ins in Northeast Fresno and the crimes are happening near Fresno State and other areas. Police also say this rash of car burglaries is spreading into residential areas usually not hit as often. I mean we have Fashion Fair, River Park, Fresno State. A lot of large places that draw large crowds of people and lots of parking, said Sergeant Michael Landon.

South Bay, Peninsula students head to Geography Bee

Three students from San Mateo County and 25 from Santa Clara County will compete in the California National Geographic State Bee March 31 at California State University, Fresno. The annual contest, for students in grades 4 through 8, is intended to encourage the teaching of geography, spark student interest and increase public awareness about geography.
