Chris Stapleton announces new album, Atlanta concert date

Chris Stapleton has new music on the way and a spring tour date set for Atlanta. On May 5, Stapleton will release the follow-up to his acclaimed "Traveller" album- and it's also the same day he'll perform at Verizon Amphitheatre in Alpharetta (show time is 7 p.m.). June 1--Fresno, CA--Save Mart Center at Fresno State (on-sale March 10)

Fresno State President Joseph Castro praised Mr. Fugelsang for his contributions not only to his students but the industry. “Ken Fugelsang was an exemplary college professor and mentor who gave his all to his students,” says Mr. Castro. “He taught and directed hundreds of students in the science and art of winemaking and was a key player in establishing the Fresno State Winery, the first university winery licensed to produce, bottle and sell wine.

KMPH adds drone to its arsenal, waits for FAA clearance

KMPH26 is taking its news coverage to a higher level. The local Fox affiliate has added the DJI Inspire 2 drone to its arsenal of ways to report on a story. Getting a drone and getting to use the drone are two very different things. Federal Aviation Administration rules state a drone cannot be flown within 5 miles of an airport, which means the drone cannot be used at the TV station because it's within the 5-mile circle from Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The 5-mile zone around the airport also includes Fresno State and a large part of Clovis. Downtown Fresno, including Chukchansi Park, are off limits because of Chandler Airport.

Fresno State brings in guest speaker on immigration

Fresno State administrators say the university is one of many feeling the pressure of President Trumps immigration policies and undocumented students are scrambling for answers. As a response the university is ramping up their minority resources including hosting guest speakers and immigration experts to continue the conversation of immigration and higher education.

Dr. Haak was a political science teacher at San Diego State, also the president of the college faculty organization. He went on to be the chancellor of the Denver campus at University of Colorado and the youngest state college chancellor at Fresno State. He was not only brilliant, but very fair.
