Cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan to Perform in Keyboard Concert Series a Fresno State

Cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan will perform in concert as part of the Philip Lorenz Memorial Keyboard Concert Series on Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m. in the Concert Hall on the Fresno State campus. Hakhnazaryan, who will be accompanied by pianist Noreen Polera, will be performing works by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Massenet, Cassadó and Harutyunyan.

California Drought Made Worse With Lack Of Conservation

Californians have also turned to technology, such as drones, to help mitigate the water shortage. The state has budgeted $3 million for analyzing aerial images. These images, combined with other data, will help officials set conservation targets that are specific to individual communities. Researchers from California State University at Fresno and AeroVironment, a drone manufacturer, are also kicking off a study into how these images can improve water conservation on almond farms.

Multi-Million Dollar Field Project At Fresno State In Its Finishing Stages

It's a new era for Fresno State track and field. Warmerdam Field first opened in 1976 and for the first time since 1989 the D-1 program's facility is sporting a new look and new track. "This project was almost $3 million so it took a while to put that together, but to have our own facility for our athletes is tremendous," said Robert Boyd, Facilities Management Associate VP.
