Smittcamp Honors College at Fresno State admits new high school grads

The Smittcamp Family Honors College at Fresno State has admitted its 14th class of high-achieving high school graduates for the 2012-13 academic year. Honors College students receive an annual President's Honors Scholarship for their undergraduate degree program up to a maximum of eight semesters. Scholarships cover in-state registration and fees and an optional credit for university housing.

Today, the people of Indian origin living in and around Fresno will celebrate India's 66th Independence Day. The celebration will start at 4 p.m. at at the Fresno State Satellite Student Union Hall. The Honorable Shri. N. Parthasarathi, Consul General of India in San Francisco and Rep. Jim Costa will be the guests of honor. Dr. William Covino, the provost at Fresno State, will offer the welcome on behalf of the university. Many other local dignitaries have been invited.

Fresno State switching to online catalog

This will be the last year California State University, Fresno will be printing hard copies of the General Catalog. The university plans on moving to a completely online version for the 2013— 2014 school year.
