Fresno State will host mountain bike event The Fresno State Bulldog Cycling Team will host the Western Collegiate Cycling Conference Mountain Bike Championships on Nov. 17-18 at The Ranch MTN Bike Park outside Prather. More than 150 cyclists from 15 universities across California and Nevada are expected to compete in both cross-country and downhill events.

Alabama A&M University; California State University, Fresno; University of Illinois at Chicago; University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and their respective community college partners are the recipients of APLU Minority Male STEM Initiative (MMSI) grants to address the shortage of transfer students pursing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors at four-year institutions. Each partnership will receive $100,000 over the next two years.
