Conviction (2010)

Directed by Tony Goldwyn, this film is based on the true story of Betty Anne Waters, (played by Hilary Swank), a single mother whose world is shattered when her beloved brother Kenny (Sam Rockwell), is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Steadfastly convinced of his innocence, Betty Anne embarks on an 18-year journey to set Kenny free, using state-of-the-art forensic technology. 103 minutes

CineCulture is also offered as a 3 unit academic course (MCJ 179) in the Mass Communication and Journalism Department.
