HINDOLE MAJUMDAR has occupied a commendable position amongst the young Tabla players of his generation around the world. He started learning the Tabla when he was five and gave his first performance at the age of ten, overwhelming the audiences. He received his first training from Sri Sibsankar Karmakar (a disciple of Ustad Karamatullah Khan, Farukhabad Gharana) and later from the great Tabla maestro Pandit Sankha Chatterjee (Punjab and Farukhabad Gharanas). He has also had the opportunity to learn the South Indian Rhythmic style from the Mridangam master Bidwan Pandit S. Shekhar. He has accompanied great musicians of Indian classical music such as Ustad Shahid Parvez, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Aashish Khan, Pandit Lalgudi Krishnan, Pandit Vishwamohan
