September 28 Enology Viticulture Seminar Series

The Fall 2016 Enology-Viticulture Seminar Series is pleased to announce that Craig Macmillan of the Central Coast Vineyard Team will be our guest speaker on Wednesday, September 28 at noon in the Enology Building on campus. The title of his presentation will be "Promoting Sustainable Winegrowing: Grower Initiated Changes in Farming Practices on a Regional Scale."

Craig is the technical program manager for the Central Coast Vineyard Team, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable farming practices in vineyards. He holds an MS in Plant Protection Science from Cal Poly SLO and a PhD in Sociology from Washington State University. He has over twenty years of experience making wine and managing vineyards on California's Central Coast. Since 2003, his work has focused on teaching and research in the areas of grape pest management, enology, viticulture, and the intersection of agriculture and human values.

The Department of Viticulture and Enology Seminar Series is held every Wednesday during the fall semester from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Enology Building classroom #102 and is open to the campus community.
