Invitations to Campus Events

2012 Bulldog Academy

Postby acano » Wed Aug 15, 2012 9:35 am

The Bulldog Academy is a free 10-week program for a class of approximately 25-30 students. Anyone interested can participate. The program is designed to open the dialogue between our community and the University and create an environment where people can learn more about what goes on in the different schools, colleges and departments on campus.

Each Tuesday evening class will consist of three/four presentations detailing a different way the University works. President Welty, Provost Covino, and the deans from each college, as well as various directors, will present on topics relating to their specific area of the University. For example, the first session will feature presentations on Fresno State's ranking as a Center of Excellence and the Master Plan for the campus. The following week Academy participants will tour the Water and Energy Technology Center and hear presentations on Fresno State Athletics and the Jordan College of Ag Sciences & Technology. Given the variety and amount of work taking place at Fresno State, no two sessions are the same.
