The Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning will present the 20th Annual “Community Service Opportunities Fair” Wednesday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the grass area in front of the Kennel Bookstore. The event is designed to provide students, staff, and faculty with an opportunity to get information on dozens of community benefit organizations and hundreds of community service-learning opportunities.

Over 70 agencies will be present to share information about volunteer opportunities in our community. Those attending the fair will be able to personally “shop” the agencies to learn more about the services they provide and the volunteer opportunities they have available.

Involvement in volunteer and community service-learning activities can provide substantial personal, professional, and academic growth. Benefits include increased college retention rates, greater career and major satisfaction, improved self-esteem, increased value for civic engagement and much, much more.

Those attending the fair are welcome to join us at noon to enjoy ice cream donated by University Dining Services.
