CineCulture, together with Filmworks, presents: Monsieur Lazhar & The Birds

Screenings July 13 & 15: TOWER THEATER, 815 E. OLIVE AVENUE, FRESNO

Monsieur Lazhar: July 13, 5:30 and 8 p.m.
This Canadian drama film tells the story of an Algerian immigrant substitute teacher who brings emotional stability to a Montreal middle school class that’s shaken by the tragic death of their well-liked teacher. In French and Arabic, with English subtitles.

Tickets cost $10 general and $8 for students and seniors.

The Birds: July 15, 3 p.m.
The 1963 horror film is directed with masterful suspense by Alfred Hitchcock. The movie tells the story of the malicious, unexplained attacks by marauding birds of all shapes and sizes on the residents of Bodega Bay. Critics have called the movie a landmark technical achievement and Hitchcock’s “purest expression of an arbitrary universe.”

Tickets cost $5 general admission.

Tickets for both shows can be purchased by check or cash at the Tower Theatre box office, 815 E. Olive Ave. For more information:
