Presidential Search Committee Nominations

Dear Fellow Staff Members,

In preparation for the search for the next President of California State University, Fresno, the Staff Assembly Executive Committee is searching for a staff representative to the Advisory Committee to the Trustees Committee for the Selection of the President (ACTCSP).

ONE staff member is needed to serve. Nominations are encouraged from all schools, colleges, and administrative areas (i.e. Academic Affairs, Administrative Services, Advancement, Student Services, Athletics) and will be collected between now and Thursday, December 6, at 4pm.

According to the Board of Trustees Policy for the Selection of Presidents, “The ACTCSP provides advice and consultation regarding the position and campus descriptions and any advertisement of the position. Members of the ACTCSP may also suggest potential candidates with the leadership qualities, administrative ability, academic qualities and other talents appropriate to the position. The ACTCSP reviews and comments on all candidate applications, participates in candidate interviews and the deliberations that lead to the selection of the final candidate(s).”

Eligible Nominees

Eligible nominees must be a member of bargaining units 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or C99. Nominees must also commit to attend meetings on Monday, February 11 (organizational meeting, 10:00am-12:00pm); Friday, April 12 (preliminary selection, 2-3 hours); Friday, May 3 (interviews, all day); and other meetings as called by the ACTCSP Chair.

Submission Process

Please email your name (or nominee's name), department, and commitment to attend all meetings directly to Toni Marchini <> by 4:00pm, Thursday, December 6, 2012.

Self-nominations are permitted.

Election Process

The list of nominees will be reviewed and all eligible candidates will be placed on a ballot that will then be posted to the PeopleSoft Portal for electronic voting between December 10 and 14, 2012.
