Fresno State Programs for Children is seeking a Staff representative to be appointed to their Board of Directors

Fresno State Programs for Children is responsible for the operation of three on-campus child care centers: Campus Children's Infant/Toddler Center, Campus Children's Preschool Center and the Joyce M. Huggins Early Education Center. The centers provide child care services for children between the ages of 3 months and 12 years. PFC has programmatic oversight from faculty within the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and the Kremen School of Education and Human Development. PFC's mission is to assist Fresno State students in attaining their educational goals by providing child care services in convenient and affordable settings that are high quality, developmentally and culturally appropriate, and are based on building positive, collaborative relationships with children, their families, and academic and community programs.

Staff interested in this position should have background in the following areas:

1. Children who utilize (or have utilized) any of the campus child care facilities.
2. Background in child development, counseling or teacher education.
3. Should have an interest in the quality of child care services being provided to our students.

Note: The Board typically meets three times per semester on Wednesdays from 9am-10:30am in the Henry Madden Library.
