Nominations Open: Welty Award for Community Service

Nominations for the 2015 John D. Welty Award for Excellence in Community Service are now being taken. The award comes with a $2,500 scholarship and is provided to a student who exemplifies the commitment to service that John Welty championed during his 22 years as President of California State University, Fresno.

In order to be eligible for the award, students must be regularly enrolled, in good academic standing, and meet other university scholarship
requirements. Most specifically, candidates must have completed a minimum of 150 accredited service hours in the last 12 months. This service can be in combination over multiple semesters and/or from different sources. (Accredited service may include credit from a service-learning course, Community Service 1 or 101, internship, or any other relevant coursework.)
