NEW Key Request Process and Policy

The key request process has gone paperless! The new system offers many advantages including:

Less time to request and receive keys
Records are maintained electronically
Approval process is consistent and all online
Campus safety and security is enhanced

The new system will be launched on [red]Monday July 6, 2015.[/red]
(Effective on this day the Lock Shop will no longer accept paper key requests.)

The new process is simple and intuitive.

1. login to
2. click forms portfolio
3. select key request form
4. complete and submit online form
5. approval requests will be routed electronically to the appropriate managers/department chairs
6. an email will be sent when key is ready for pick up

A revised key policy is posted on the University Policy Website. [link=][/link]

Highlights of the policy changes include:

Approval responsibilities defined
Department managers and chairs will receive audit reports of all students issued keys
Departments are responsible for collecting metal keys from students. Student holds will be placed for those not returned
$10 fee for lost keys (waived if a police report is supplied)
Lost Bulldog cards must be reported online immediately
