Explore Engineering Camp for Middle School Students

Dear Campus Community,

The Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State is now accepting applications for its annual "Explore Engineering Camp." The Explore Engineering Program is a week-long non-residential program scheduled for June 22nd —June 26th, 2015 at Fresno State. The mission of the program is to educate young middle school students entering 7th and 8th grade in the Fall of 2015 on the benefits and varied aspects of a profession in engineering. The program focuses on hands-on activities combined with academic lectures that cover various engineering topics such as construction management, robotics, and electronics. Sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Attendance every day is required. Lunch, snacks, and educational materials are included. Students will also visit local companies to learn from professional engineers. Cost of the program is $150. Payment is not due until the student has been notified that he/she has been selected to participate. Scholarships are available to qualified students. Space is limited!
