• Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction for all administrative, instructional and operational technologies for the university
• Lead and manage main campus and OPS technology staff with a focus on customer service, collaboration, creativity, technical proficiency and mutual respect
• Responsible for management and support of: online content delivery in the areas of infrastructure, design, development, security, scalability, system integrity, maintenance and system support
• Work with faculty to transition and migrate content to online and to integrate technologies that will increase engagement and learning effectiveness including Webex & Telepresence integration
• Responsible for Blackboard 9.1 online environment and related services such as help desk, instructional design, ADA/504/508 compliance, and ERP integration
• Build and maintain partnerships/relationships with external vendors, contractors, and integrators
• Establish technical platforms, standards, protocols, and ensure adherence in areas of technology systems, software and security
• Oversee the delivery and presentation of technology services to students, faculty and staff that support academic, administrative and research functions across the university
• Identify emerging technologies and how it may benefit the university
• Develop, implement and oversee IT projects, strategies, infrastructure and budgets
• Integrate and plan for disaster recovery/prevention to ensure business continuity
• Lead in recruitment and training of staff to ensure and maintain a high level of performance
• Work with deans, program chairs, and faculty in curriculum development of programs and courses incorporating instructional design methodologies
• Collaborate with leadership team and lead efforts for WASC accreditation of online programs
• Lead efforts with advisors and counselors to implement student lead management software and early alert systems
• Coordinate and collaborate with student services, admissions, financial aid, advising to define workflow, scope project, purchase, implement and integrate new systems to help with business optimization such as document management
• Other key projects include VDI/technology refresh, document systems management, emergency paging/alert, campus wide wireless, SAN/WMWare infrastructure, Exchange 2010 migration, Windows 7/8 migration, new IP-based unified messaging/phone system, Office365 migration, and website redesign
