Industrial Technology Department regrets to inform you that Dr. Chester E. Christison has passed away on March 12, 2015. He taught metals technology at Fresno State from 1970 to 1991. He was the faculty adviser for creating the 640 pound Bicentennial Bell in 1976; building alternative fuel vehicle to compete at Vancouver Worlds Fair; building high mileage vehicles for State and national competitions and building cupolo to pour melted iron. He earned BS degree at Mankato State, MS and EdD from the University of Northern Colorado. After his retirement he worked as consultant at a foundry in Oakland and traveled many parts of the US, Europe and Caribbean Islands. He is survived by his wife, sister and 5 children, 10 grand children and 5 great grand children.
