President's Reflections September 4-9, 2012

Postby madona » Mon Sep 10, 2012 1:23 pm

This was a short week. Everyone began to settle in for the semester. Our campus continued to mourn the death of Philip Dhanens.

I was very pleased to see that the California Faculty Association membership ratified the Successor Contract agreement. This agreement represents positive progress for faculty appointments, evaluations, and payment for low-enrolled summer courses. The final step will be ratification by the CSU Trustees, and action is expected at their Board meeting this month.

Congratulations to student Mike Pronovost for making the national Empact 100 list, honoring the top entrepreneurs under the age of 30. He has been invited to multiple recognition events at the White House and had the opportunity to meet top business professionals. We are proud he is a Bulldog!
