August 13-19, 2012

This has been a very emotional week for me. Reaching a decision on retirement and sharing that decision was not easy. I have deeply appreciated the support and sacrifices that so many people have made to better serve our students. As the week ends I have a renewed sense of the special people we have at Fresno State and in this community. I thank everyone for their kind words.

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the Water and Energy Technology Center with the “Efficient Water Infrastructure Award." Congratulations to David Zoldoske and all who were involved in this effort.

Once again our students demonstrated great leadership as Associated Students, Inc. stepped-up to make sure that children in El Dorado Park would receive dinner as part of their Basecamp program after the food for this event was stolen. Me-n-Ed’s Pizza also helped.
