RE:
Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance – September 13, 2013

In memory of the people who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks September 11, 2001, and in keeping with President Obama’s Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance proclamation, Fresno State will post its flags at half staff on Wednesday, September 11, from sunrise to sunset.

The campus flag poles are at the east end of the Rose Garden, at the west flagpoles in front of the North Gym, at the Save Mart Center and any Athletics venue where events are hosted by Fresno State.

I join in President Obama’s call to the nation by encouraging the campus community to honor and remember the victims of September 11, 2001, and their loved ones through prayer, contemplation, memorial services, the visiting of memorials, the ringing of bells, evening candlelight remembrance vigils and other appropriate ceremonies and activities.

Thank you.
