All Fresno State Alumni Association (FSAA) student scholarship applications must be completed online. 

There are different deadline dates for the various scholarship opportunities. The scholarship application period usually lasts from early October to the end of February. However, there may be scholarship opportunities open beyond this priority deadline for specific majors, programs, or student groups.

FSAA Scholarship List

Alan DeWitt Button Memorial Scholarship

The student must be an undergraduate or graduate student at Fresno State, have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent, and demonstrate overall excellence and accomplishment in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in psychology .

Alex and Caty Perez Scholarship Fund

The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.2 or equivalent and demonstrated past community and/or volunteer service. The student can be, but is not required to be, a Craig Scholar.

Allen Barr Olson Scholarship

The student must be a Sigma Chi pledge or current member in good standing of both the local and international fraternity chapters and have a minimum GAP of 2.0 in the last one year of academic instruction.

Alumni and Friends of the Craig School of Business Scholarship

The student must be an undergraduate Business major, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or equivalent for the last two years, and demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, ethics, a high moral standard, vision and drive.

Anderson Clayton & Company Scholarship

First preference to entering freshman or secondly to enrolled students working toward a degree in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Ag Education, or Plant Science. First preference given to members of the family of an Anderson Clayton employee or customer. Consideration for scholastic achievement, leadership ability, financial need, and educational promise.

Anthony & Raphael Marsella Memorial Scholarship

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. The student must be a senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Antonio & Louise Petrosino Scholarship

The student must be a current Kremen School undergraduate/graduate degree or credential student and have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 . Priority will be given to students in foreign languages or counseling.

Army ROTC Chapter Scholarship

A scholarship shall be awarded to Army ROTC cadets during the MS level 3 and 4.

Arthur Selland Memorial Scholarship

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. The student must graduate from a high school within Fresno County and must be a senior pursuing a degree in the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Science and Mathematics, or College of Social Sciences with a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Arthur Wahlberg Scholarship Trust

A scholarship shall be awarded to a deserving Music major.

Associated Students, Inc. Scholarship

The student must be a sophomore, junior or senior, must have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 or equivalent thereof, must demonstrate strong excellence in leadership development and related activities, both on and off campus, as determined by ASI Scholarship Committee. In addition, the student should demonstrate the ability to participate in such extracurricular leadership activities with excellence in academic achievements.

Bulldog Pride Fund

A scholarship shall be awarded to full-time undergraduate or part-time graduate students with minimum GPA of 2.0. Students must provide demonstrated examples of pride and public service in the community through past involvement in a club, activity, event or project as an unpaid volunteer.

The Bulldog Pride Fund awards the following annual scholarships:

• BPF: ASI President's Award - Presented to the student body president

• BPF: Drum Major Award - Presented to the senior Drum Major of the Bulldog Marching Band on an annual basis

• BPF: Eartha Kitt Vocal Performance Award - Presented to a deserving student majoring or expecting to declare a major in Vocal Performance, including graduate students pursuing an MA in Music Performance. 

• BPF: Edna Garabedian Vocal Performance Award - Presented to a deserving student majoring or expecting to declare a major in Vocal Performance, including graduate students pursuing an MA in Music Performance.

• BPF: Harvey Milk Humanics Award - Presented to a junior or senior completing the Humanics Certification Program in the College of Social Sciences.

• BPF: Larry Newsome Theatre Arts Award - Presented to a deserving student who has a declared major within the Department of Theatre and Dance 

• BPF: Raymond Burr Theatre Arts Award - Presented to a deserving student who has a declared major within the Department of Theatre and Dance

• BPF: TimeOut Spirit Award - Presented to a student performing as Fresno State’s mascot, TimeOut.

• BPF: USP President's Award - Presented to a student who must also have a desire to run for office to serve as President of Fresno State’s United Student Pride in the next academic year.

Campopiano-Powe Families Scholarship Fund

A scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in either Plant Science, Mass Communication, and/or Viticulture and Enology with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Candlelight Guild Scholarship Trust  

A scholarship shall be awarded to an upper division student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher who has demonstrated financial need and an interest in local community affairs and the principles of the Candlelight Guild 

Charlotte J. Dandridge Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is an undergraduate majoring in Education or Liberal Studies, or a post-baccalaureate student pursuing a teaching credential with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Chicano Alumni Club Scholarship  

The student must show an interest in Mexican-American/Latino/Chicano/Hispanic culture and reside in the Central Valley with a minimum GPA of 3.7. 

Clark Van Galder Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an option in teaching who has a GPA of 2.75 or higher and demonstrates a need for financial assistance. 

Communicative Sciences & Deaf Studies Alumni Chapter Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate student under the department of Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies at Fresno state with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The student must demonstrate progression through the curriculum. 

Daniel Clack Memorial Scholarship  

The student must be an Aerospace major with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrate financial need, be of good moral character and have an interest in the affairs of the university, community and the nation. 

Dante Simi Scholarship Fund  

A scholarship shall be awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference given to Sigma Chi members or pledges; and/or graduates of any Learn 4 Life Charter School in the Fresno State's service area: Crescent View West (Fresno), Crescent View South (Fresno), Crescent Valley Public Charter (Hanford, Tulare, Visalia) and Ambassador Phillip V. Sanchez Charter (Fresno). 

Donald J. Burdick Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to sophomores, juniors and seniors with financial need that are majoring in Biology, with a minimum GPA of 3.0  

Eddie L. Adams Scholarship  

The student must be a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity or Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and/or students of families impacted by cancer with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 

Ernesto Martinez Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to students demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment with a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.4 or equivalent. Special Consideration will be given to students who have been active in student organization Los Dantes De Aztlan but is not required. 

Frank Bassi Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to an entering student majoring in Agriculture. 

Fresno High School Class of 1929 Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a deserving graduate of Fresno High School who attends Fresno State. 

Fresno Sigma Chi Endowed Scholarship  

The student must be a current Sigma Chi member in good standing of both the local and international fraternity, resident of the chapter house for the past year and agrees to be a resident of the chapter house for the next year and have a GPA of 2.0 in the past academic year. 

Golden Grad Scholarship  

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Any student at Fresno State with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrated a need for financial assistance and an interest in the affairs of Fresno State and the community.  

H. G. Stridde Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate from Corcoran Union High School, or second, a graduate of another Kings County high school who is enrolled at Fresno State majoring in Agriculture with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The student must have completed some units and show a promise as, or determination to be, a farmer. If no qualified student can be found, the scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in Home Economics. 

Hagop Moradian Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to deserving students based on educational promise. Applicants must have a declared major within the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and be in good academic standing.  

Harris Construction Company, Inc. Scholarship  

The student must be enrolled full time in Construction Management with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and must have completed at least one academic year of study. The student must have leadership ability, character, financial need and educational promise. 

Helen Gigliotti Biochemistry Scholarship Fund  

A scholarship shall be awarded to deserving second semester Biochemistry students demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment in the pursuit of Biochemistry. Applicants must be currently enrolled at Fresno State and have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.50 earned over the last one year of academic instruction. Full-time and/or part-time student status in good academic standing shall at all times be a prerequisite to eligibility to receive this award.  

Industrial Technology Faculty Memorial Scholarship  

The student must be enrolled at Fresno State working toward a bachelors or masters in Industrial Technology. Must demonstrate a financial need, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and have an interest in the affairs of Fresno State and the community.

Jeffrey Merritt Biology Scholarship Fund  

The student must major in Biology and a junior or senior at Fresno State with a minimum GPA of 3.5. The student must also be a citizen of the United States of America.  

Jesse L. Rushing Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded an outstanding Sociology student. 

John E. Manning and Ida Marie Manning Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to the most promising student in the Political Science program. 

John Thomas Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate Psychology student in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent over the last one year of academic instruction. The student must demonstrate strong professional and personal integrity and a commitment to serving others. 

Jose C. Ramirez Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to students who have graduated from Avenal High School, and enrolled in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). The student must be admitted to or attending Fresno State and must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent, earned over the last one year of academic instruction. 

Kremen School of Education Alumni Chapter Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student admitted to a Kremen School of Education and Human Development undergraduate degree, graduate degree or credential program. Applicants must be enrolled full-time or part-time, in good standing, and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or greater.  Preference may be given to students exhibiting financial need.  

Kristine Oda Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship will be awarded to McLane High School seniors who will attend Fresno State.  Students must have participated in extracurricular activities, with preference given to involvement in student government activities. 

Larry Levis Creative Writing Memorial Scholarship Fund  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a Creative Writing graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The student must demonstrate a significant interest in pursuing a career in creative writing. 

Lawrence E. Salinas Scholarship Fund for Political Science  

A scholarship shall be awarded to juniors and/or seniors majoring in Political Science with a GPA of 3.0. Preference given to graduates of Fresno High School.  

Lehla Slocum Beatty Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to active members of the Gamma Chi Chapter or Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Qualifications considered: loyalty, leadership, responsibility, tolerance, scholarship and financial need. 

Louise Petrosino Scholarship Fund  

The student must be a current Kremen School undergraduate or graduate degree or credential student. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5. Priority will be given to students in foreign language or counseling.  

Lyles Center for Entrepreneurship Alumni & Friends Scholarship  

The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 and must demonstrate an exceptional aptitude or interest in the principles and concepts of entrepreneurship.  

Lyles College of Engineering Alumni Chapter Scholarship  

The student must be a sophomore or junior pursuing a degree from the Lyles College of Engineering and Computer Science with a minimum GPA of 3.25. The student must demonstrate an interest in one of the majors or fields offered by the Lyles College of Engineering. Special consideration will be given to students who have been active in student organizations with an engineering focus.  

Margaret McWhorter Scholarship  

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Any student enrolled at Fresno State with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a demonstrated need for financial assistance.  

Marvin and Jane Baxter Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is a junior or senior Education major, or a post baccalaureate student pursuing a teaching credential. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent and must demonstrate past leadership experience in either student government or campus activities.  

Mary Beekman and John Nichol Clark Memorial Grant  

A scholarship shall be awarded to children, grandchildren or siblings of current or retired employees of CAL FIRE (California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection).  

Memorial Health Center Scholarship  

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. A scholarship shall be awarded to deserving students who demonstrate great potential through academic excellence and/or active involvement in the affairs of Fresno State and the community with preference given to veterans and their children.  

Mildred Wilson Swan Memorial Scholarship  

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. A scholarship shall be awarded to deserving students who demonstrate great potential through academic excellence and/or active involvement in the affairs of Fresno State and the community. The student must have a demonstrated need for financial assistance. 

Nathan Hathaway Collegian Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a deserving student Mass Communication and Journalism student. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 and must demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in newspaper journalism.  Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in two languages and/or editors and sub-editors of the Fresno State campus newspaper, “The Collegian.” 

Nathan Ray Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to an outstanding freshman marching band student demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 earned over the last one year of academic instruction. 

Nursing Alumni Chapter Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate Nursing student who has been admitted to the Nursing Program and completed one semester. The student must have a GPA of 3.4, show financial need and provide two letters of recommendation. Full time status and good academic standing is required at all times. 

Orange Cove High School Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students that have attended and/or graduated from Orange Cove High School with a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 

Pearl B. Winter Memorial Scholarship for Students in Early Music  

Music major in performance or history and literature who wishes to pursue early music. Preference given to students of the viola da gamba family, but if there are no such applicants, the scholarship may be awarded to other students of early music.  

Pete Prestegard Memorial Scholarship  

Presented by the Associated Students, Inc. The student must demonstrate strong excellence in leadership development and related activities, both on and off campus, as determined by the ASI Scholarship Committee. Open to students of sophomore, junior or senior status with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 

Pete Valentino Music Educators Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a Music Education student demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment in pursuit of Music Education for Elementary and/or Secondary Music Education. Open to students of sophomore, junior or senior status with a minimum GPA of 2.7. 

Phi Kappa Phi Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to any enrolled student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree at Fresno State with a GPA of 3.5 in a minimum of 90 semester units or a graduate student working toward a master’s degree with a GPA of 3.9 and are members of Phi Kappa Phi or are candidates for induction into membership. 

Philip and Shirley Patino Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a current Kremen School of  Education and Human Development undergraduate/graduate degree or credential student. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5. Priority will be given to students in foreign languages or counseling. 

Physical Therapy Alumni Chapter Scholarship  

A scholarship will be awarded to deserving graduate students studying in the Physical Therapy doctoral program at Fresno state. The award will be made following successful completion of the first 6 semesters of the program. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent, earned over all required courses in the doctoral degree program completed to date. 

Raymond Ensher Creative Achievement Theatre Arts Scholarship Award  

A scholarship shall be awarded to the overall most promising student in any of the theatre arts programs for the academic year. 

Richard and Bonda Aranas Family Trust Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to students completing a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and/or a post-baccalaureate teaching credential. The student must be attending Fresno State and have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent. 

Risa Rodemeyer Global Culture Scholarship  

The student must be enrolled in the Smittcamp Family Honors College at Fresno State. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA as required by the Smittcamp Family Honors College and must demonstrate an interest in global culture and affairs. 

Robert & Marjorie Bryant Memorial Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a graduate student working on a degree in Physical Therapy with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  The student must have a financial need and a demonstrated interest in the affairs of Fresno State and the community of Fresno. 

Robert H. Monke Scholarship  

The student must be admitted to a Kremen School Of Education and Human Development undergraduate/graduate degree or credential program, must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or equivalent. Preference may be given to students exhibiting financial need. 

Roberta Asahina Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to one or more students demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with an Option in Advertising. Open to sophomore, junior or senior status students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The student must demonstrate leadership, creativity, self-initiative, responsibility and scholarship. 

San Joaquin Valley Electric League Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student working toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from the Department of Industrial Technology with a field of study in Construction, Electrical Contracting, Lighting, Electricity, Electronics or an Electrical Engineering degree from the School of Engineering. The student must have a demonstrated financial need and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better and must show an interest in the affairs of the university and the community. 

Small Family Scholarship Fund  

A scholarship will be awarded to students who are pursuing degrees in Accounting and are maintaining a GPA of 2.5 to 3.5. 

Smittcamp Family Honors College Alumni Scholarship  

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. A scholarship will be awarded to deserving students who are currently enrolled at Fresno State and demonstrate great potential through academic excellence and/or active involvement in the affairs of Fresno State and the community.   

Stan Oken Scholarship  

A scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is an undergraduate or graduate student at Fresno State. The student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent and must demonstrate interest in a public service career in promoting Fresno City and County as tourist destinations. 

Stella Sklender Balich Memorial Scholarship

The student must be a graduate of Central Union High School, working toward a Bachelor’s Degree, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The student must have leadership ability, good moral character, financial need, and educational promise.

Stephen and Risa Rodemeyer Organic Chemistry Scholarship

The student must be a regularly enrolled Chemistry major (BA or BS) at Fresno State. The student must demonstrate excellence in organic chemistry and have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.50 earned over the last one year of academic instruction.

Thomas F. Lopez Memorial

Presented by the Smittcamp Family Honors College. A scholarship will be awarded to deserving students who demonstrate great potential through academic excellence and/or active involvement in the affairs of Fresno State and the community.

White Rose Scholarship

Presented by the Sigma Chi Chapter. A scholarship shall be awarded to eligible members of the Fresno State Chapter Sigma Chi Fraternity who demonstrate overall excellence and accomplishment in pursuit of any degree and any major offered by Fresno State with a minimum GPA of 2.0. The student must be enrolled as a full-time student with good standing as students and members of the Chapter.
