Fresno State is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), a unique community of students from colleges around the globe who are interested in contributing to a better world.

Would you like to be a part of that movement?

We are looking for Fresno State students who are interested in taking tangible steps towards solving an issue that affects your campus, your community or your world. That issue can be in any of CGI U’s five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation and Public Health.

Interested?

Start by brainstorming a Commitment to Action – a set of specific and measurable initiatives - that aim to solve the challenge you’ve identified. Students from all over the world have solved all kinds of problems through CGI U and raised nearly $2 million to do it.

Past Commitments of Action have included a soccer ball that generates energy, a campus bike-sharing program, a solar-powered telemedicine terminal and a low-cost wheelchair for the developing world. Funding may be available for you to turn your ideas into action.

Why not solve that problem you’ve always wanted to? We’re here to simplify the process and help you help your campus, your community or your world.

Please note, students must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in Fresno State to apply for this program.
