FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

CGI U seeks to provide commitment-makers with various funding opportunities for their work. Current funding opportunities are outlined below, and will be updated regularly.

THE CGI UNIVERSITY NETWORK

If your school is a member of the CGI University Network, you may be eligible to apply for funding to support your commitment and offset travel costs to the CGI U meeting. 57 colleges and universities have already joined the University Network for CGI U 2015, agreeing to provide over $725,000 in funding to commitment-makers from their respective campuses. Each member university pledges a minimum of $10,000 total in funding to CGI U student commitment-makers and decides how the funding is allocated. Students from member universities also have access to unique on-campus mentorship opportunities. If your university has already joined the network, the CGI U team can connect you to a liaison on campus.

UP TO US

Up to Us, a nationwide campus competition launched by Net Impact, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, and CGI U, is an opportunity for students to build a movement to address the U.S. government's long-term debt. The first Up to Us competition was announced at CGI U 2012, and over the past two years, teams across the country have designed and run thought-provoking and impactful campaigns around the effects of rising federal debt on economic opportunity and investment in the future. (Watch President Clinton announce the winning team from the 2014 Up to Us competition.) This year's competition will feature teams from campuses across the United States, competing for a $10,000 prize and the chance to be recognized by President Clinton at CGI U 2015.
