About VPP Goals & Objectives

The goals of the Violence Prevention Project are prevention, intervention, and education of all students, staff, faculty and administrators at Fresno State.

Our objectives include:

  • Strengthening existing victim services programs on campus.
  • Providing training to University Police and campus judicial officials regarding policies and procedures related to violence cases.
  • Implementing a comprehensive on-campus educational program about violence for all students, staff, and faculty.
  • Recruiting and training of interns, staff, and volunteers to conduct educational presentations.
  • Providing advocacy, referrals, counseling, peer counseling, and medical support for victims of crime.
