The Student Involvement Center provides a variety of volunteer leadership roles to enhance your college experience and help you leave your mark at Fresno State! Campus Involvement Ambassadors (CIA)

Campus Involvement Ambassadors (CIA) serve as a resource to students interested in becoming connected to the campus community through involvement. Members advise, facilitate and public speak in this role.

Requirements:

  • Prior involvement experience at Fresno State.
  • Enrolled as a part- or full-time student.
  • Attend meetings Fridays 1 to 2 p.m.
  • (4) office hours per week.
  • 2.50 GPA or higher (semester and cumulative) throughout application process and 2019-20 academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote campus involvement by connecting students to clubs and events
  • Facilitate leadership retreats
  • Introduce students to leadership opportunities on campus
  • Tabling, presentations, and meeting one-on-one with students

Off-Campus Student Life (OCSL) Leadership Board

Off Campus Student Life (OCSL) Leadership Board helps identify the needs of off-campus students and implement strategies for their success. Students must reside off-campus. Students living on campus (University Housing) are not permitted to serve on the Board.

Requirements:

  • Reside off-campus (students living on-campus in University Housing will not be permitted to serve on the Board).
  • Enrolled as a part- or full-time student.
  • Attend meetings Mondays 6 to 7 p.m.
  • 2.00 GPA or higher (semester and cumulative) throughout application process and 2019-20 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Promote events and implement projects created for off-campus students (i.e. Good Morning Commuters, Informational Mini- Workshops, Commuter Connect Events, Campus Pointe Events, Movie Nights, etc.)

USU Board of Directors

USU Board of Directors oversees the services and facilities of the University Student Union (USU) and Satellite Student Union (SSU). They are the student voice on matters affecting the USU and SSU.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a part- or full-time student.
  • Attend meetings Mondays 3:30 to 5 p.m.
  • 2.00 GPA or higher (semester and cumulative) throughout application process and 2019-20 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Establish policies, guidelines, budgets, and provide input about the programs and services that the USU and SSU offers. Examples of events include: Breakfast with the Board, Snack Days, Informational Tabling, etc.

Vintage Days

Vintage Days is Fresno State's largest student-planned celebration which attracts over 50,000 community members to campus for three days of entertainment, excitement and fun for all ages! Be a part of this huge tradition that has been celebrated since 1975!

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a part- or full-time student.
  • Attend meetings Wednesdays 3 to 4 p.m.
  • (2) office hours per week.
  • 2.00 GPA or higher (semester and cumulative) throughout application process and 2019-20 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Student Coordinators plan, develop and implement various aspects of this major campus event, from logistics, marketing, food booths, performance stage, volunteers, kid's zone, and more!
