Starting a New Club

The University, through the Student Involvement Center, officially recognizes Fresno State clubs and organizations. Starting a new club is a process that requires the participation of the new club and the Student Involvement Center as outlined below:

  • Ensure that no other club currently exists with a similar purpose
  • Find a minimum of 5 currently enrolled Fresno State students that are interested in the creation of the club
  • Find a Fresno State faculty or staff member who is a state employee (not Auxiliary/Association) hired on a half-time or more basis that would be willing to serve as the club's Advisor
  • Identify a club President and Treasurer for the organization that meet the minimum academic qualifications and unit requirements
  • Create and submit a club Constitution (A Constitution template is available once you begin the application process)
  • President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Advisor must complete the Officer and Advisor agreement and the Officer or Advisor orientation

To register a new club/organization, you will need the following:

  • All officers and advisors have an active Fresno State OrgSync account
  • Information needed - Officers first and last names, student ID's, email addresses, and phone #'s
  • Information needed - Advisor(s) first and last name(s), email address(s), and office phone #(s)
