Starting a New Club
The University, through the Student Involvement Center, officially recognizes Fresno State clubs and organizations. Starting a new club is a process that requires the participation of the new club and the Student Involvement Center as outlined below:
- Ensure that no other club currently exists with a similar purpose
- Find a minimum of 15 currently enrolled Fresno State students that are interested in the club being created
- Find a Fresno State faculty or staff member who is a state employee (not auxiliary) hired on a half-time or more basis that would be willing to serve as the club's advisor
- Identify a club president and treasurer for the organization that meet the minimum academic qualifications and unit requirements
- Create and submit a club Constitution (for help, take a look at this Constitution Template)
- Complete all forms listed in the New Club Packet
- President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Advisor must complete the Officer and Advisor Agreement Forms listed on OrgSync
- President and Advisor must watch the Club & Organization Orientation Videos and complete the Club and Organization Orientation Videos Forms
