SCOUT Transportation

SCOUT Transportation Information

The campus provides an on-campus transportation service, known as SCOUT, for students with permanent or temporary disabilities, who have been approved for the accommodation by their assigned Disability Management Specialist or by the SCOUT Coordinator.

In order to activate the SCOUT service, students must first meet with the SCOUT coordinator, in the Services for Students with Disabilities office, to request the service and create a schedule.  During the meeting, students will fill out the SCOUT Request form and will collaboratively create a SCOUT schedule with the Coordinator.

Temporary (or permanent) SCOUT accommodations can be verified by providing a doctor's medical verification, that should include the diagnosis (functional limitation/disability) and the prognosis (expected length of time of the functional limitation).  Medical Verification may be able to be acquired through the Student Health and Counseling Center on campus.  They may be reached at 559-278-2734.

Students who utilize SCOUT permanently must meet with the SCOUT Coordinator every semester to set-up their schedule and receive a SCOUT card. Students must have their card with them at all times when using SCOUT services.  For more information on the Campus Transportation Service Policy and Procedures, please, please visit SSD's Forms page.

For assistance with SCOUT or further questions please call 559-278-2811.
