Approaching graduation requires a lot of close attention to details. There are many requirements for graduation from the amount of units you need all the way to applying for graduation.
Follow the links on the left for graduation requirements and a checklist to help you navigate the process. Below are the instructions to apply to graduate.
Instructions to Apply for Spring 2014 Graduation:
Seniors intending to graduate at the end of Spring 2014 semester must apply for their undergraduate degree during the first two weeks of the semester.
- During the filing period, file your degree application and pay the $35.00 non-refundable filing fees by using the online Undergraduate Degree Checkout Process through your Student Center> Apply for Undergraduate Degree.
- File your application as early as possible to receive a timely response.
- After you apply for graduation, and your application has been reviewed, the Evaluations Office will send you an email at your Fresno State email account with your graduation status.
The online Undergraduate Degree Checkout Process allows you pay your graduation fee without visiting the Cashier's Office, print a senior DARS report that shows remaining degree requirements, enter your diploma name, and review other information such as major and catalog year. For information on how to understand your DARS report, click here.
Look out for any minus signs that appear on this report as they indicate deficiencies in your coursework needed to graduate. The top of your DARS report should say something like “ all requirements met with coursework in-progress.”
You should also plan to meet with Student Success Services in Joyal 224 or with your major advisor to ensure all GE and major requirements are met.
