21 Monday APPLICATION PERIOD BEGINS for MASTER’S and BACHELOR’S Degrees to be granted in August 2018 Summer Sessions Classes Begin

08 Friday  LAST DAY TO file for MASTER’S Degrees for Summer 2018
12, 14-15, 19, 21-22, 26, 28-29 Fall 2018 “DOG DAYS” Orientation Sessions for Freshmen
15 Friday LAST DAY TO file for BACCALAUREATE Degrees for August 2018
LAST DAY TO submit changes and clearances(incomplete grades, approval petitions, departmental approvals, transfer transcripts) required for graduation with a BACCALAUREATE Degree at the end of the Spring 2018 semester.

01 Wednesday Fall 2018 First Registration Fee Payment Deadline  If you no longer plan on attending Fresno State, you are responsible to drop yourself from all classes!

23 Thursday FALL 2018 SEMESTER INSTRUCTION BEGINS
  Application Period Begins for BACCALAUREATE and MASTER'S Degree to be granted in December 2018

03 Monday LABOR DAY – Campus Closed
06 Thursday LAST DAY TO:
  • Register for Credit by Examination (CBE)
  • FACULTY to initiate an administrative drop
  • Add a class without permission
  • Add a class by Wait List

Class schedule adjustments (add, drop, and/or swap) made after this date, may result in an additional fee
07 Friday LAST DAY TO file for MASTER’S degrees for December 2018
13 Thursday     LAST DAY to drop/withdraw online without permission
14 Friday 
 All drops require drop/withdrawal form and must be signed by the instructor and department chair. “W” grades will not show on the student’s transcript.
17 Monday LAST DAY for graduate students to apply for Advancement to Candidacy this semester to be eligible for graduation in May 2019
20 Thursday CENSUS DATE
LAST DAY TO:
  • Add a class with permission
  • Drop a course without “W” grade on student’s transcript (Drops after this date must have a serious and compelling reason and will have a grade of “W” listed on student’s transcript)
  • Change to/from CR/NC grading
  • Take examination for Credit by Examination
  • Change from credit to audit or audit to credit registration

 
Fall 2018 Final Registration Fee Payment Deadline Students may be dropped from classes the following business day. If you no longer plan on attending Fresno State, you are responsible to drop yourself from all classes!

26 Friday LAST DAY to submit a complete withdrawal

05 Monday - 09 Friday Spring 2019 Early Registration Begins
09 Friday LAST DAY TO:
File edited, committee-approved MASTER'S THESIS for December 2018 graduation.
12 Monday VETERAN'S DAY - Campus Closed
20 Tuesday Last day to drop classes for serious and compelling reason; only drop/withdrawal for circumstances beyond the student’s control, will be considered after this date.
21 Wednesday THANKSGIVING RECESS – no classes, offices open
22 Thursday – 23 Friday THANKSGIVING RECESS – campus closed

12 Wednesday LAST DAY OF INSTRUCTION
Last day to DROP (individual course) or complete WITHDRAW for circumstances beyond the student’s control
13 Thursday – 14 Friday Final Exam Preparation and faculty consultation days
17 Monday – 20 Thursday SEMESTER FINAL EXAMINATIONS
21 Friday FALL 2018 SEMESTER ENDS
LAST DAY TO:
  • Submit incomplete make-up work or request extension of time for incomplete grades from Fall 2017
  • Submit to the Division of Graduate Studies Office the departmental clearance paperwork on behalf of December 2018 MASTER’S DEGREE candidates (including a copy of the completed final report on incomplete or in-progress work, if needed for graduation)

25 Tue - Jan 1 CAMPUS CLOSED

02 Wednesday Deadline for faculty to enter Fall 2018 grades
06 Sunday Last day faculty can make on-line grade changes for Fall 2018
11 Friday Last day for faculty to submit CHANGES and CLEARANCES (incomplete grades, approved petitions, departmental approvals, transfer transcripts) required for graduation with a BACHELOR’S DEGREE at the end of the Fall 2018 Semester
