“There is no secret to success. It is the result of preparation, hard-work, and learning from failure.”
--Colin Powell

Background

Renaissance Scholars ProgramWhen foster youth age-out of care they have to transition into adulthood without traditional family support and little resources. Sobering statistics show that only 50% of foster youth graduate with a high school diploma. The first year after leaving the foster care system, 40% of these young people will end up homeless. Our programs provides former foster youth with a pathway and an opportunity to make their dreams come true. We do this by offering students a community of support and a place to belong.
