Download the Fresno State High School Planning Guide and read it carefully.
Take the SAT and/or ACT tests. Gather your High School Transcripts, Test Scores, AP Scores, and transcipts from any courses you may have taken at a Community College.
Visit www.csumentor.edu and set up an account. Remember this information!
Fill out the High School Planner at CSUMentor. If you are missing any of the A-G coursework, talk to your counselor at your High School about class options for your Senior Year.
If you haven't done so, register and/or take your SAT/ACT tests. Remember, Fresno State will always take the highest score on any portion of the test!
Log on to www.csumentor.edu and start your application to Fresno State. Need assistance? If you live in the Fresno Area, check with your counselor to see when we are hosting an Application Workshop on your campus. You may also contact us in our office at 559.278.2048. Do not wait! Remember, the Application Filing Period is September 1 - November 30. Due to record number of applications and limited state funds, we will only be able to honor applications filed during this time. Submit the online Fresno State Scholarship application at www.csufresno.edu/scholarships. The filling period is October 1 - February 28.
Students graduating from a high school in the CSU Fresno-defined local area will be notified if they are admitted about two weeks after the application is received.

Establish your Fresno State email account and check it weekly. This is how we will communicate with you about your application, financial aid, and scholarships.
Apply for Housing if you are planning to live on campus.
Study for those final exams!
You may receive a letter asking you to submit a transcript that shows your Fall Semester grades to the admissions office. If you receive this letter, BE SURE to submit your transcript by the specified date, or you risk having your application withdrawn. If you do not receive this letter, you do not need to submit transcripts at this point.
Admission Notification for non-local students will be sent out mid-month.
If you see "Waitlist" status, you have been placed on the admitted-student waiting list. You have met eligibilty to attend Fresno State, and have been placed on a waiting list pending available spaces.
Submit the FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov during the priority filing period, January 1-March 2.
Continue to check your Fresno State email, and begin to check your Fresno State Portal at my.csufresno.edu. You can see the status of your application on this website (you login with your email address and password).

Attend Preview Day at Fresno State. Meet your future professors, classmates, and get a feel for the campus.
Submit your Accept/Decline offer before the May 1 deadline!
Register for Dog Days New Student Orientation. This is when you will meet with your Academic Advisor for the first time and select your classes for the Fall. The earlier you attend, the earlier you can select your classes! New Student Orientation is MANDATORY for new all students.
Don't get that case of senoritis! You've worked hard to get where you are, and if you do not pass one of your classes, your admission offer may be revoked.
ALL students must submit a final, official High School Transcript to the Admissions Office in June. Make sure you fill out the neccesary paperwork at your High School before graduating.
Attend Dog Days New Student Orientation and register for your classes.
