Advising Matters posterSecond-Semester Freshman Mandatory Advising

All second-semester freshmen (meaning, currently enrolled freshmen who began at Fresno State in fall 2011) are required to complete this requirement before being cleared to register for fall 2012 classes during priority registration week, April 23-27.

On May 18 this hold (labeled "FT3" in your Student Center) was lifted for the remaining students who had not satisfied this requirement.

For information on all university mandatory advising requirements, go here.

MAJOR ADVISING

If you are in need of advising specific to your MAJOR, please contact your major department.

UNDECLARED students will see an advisor in our office.

RETURNING STUDENTS

If you have attended Fresno State in the past and would like to return, please make an appointment to speak with an academic counselor. If you have attended other institutions since you were last here, bringing in copies of those transcripts would help your counselor better assist you.

OTHERS

IF YOU HAVE NEVER ATTENDED FRESNO STATE but you have been formally admitted to the university, you will need to attend DOG DAYS: New Student Orientation before you may speak with an academic counselor from our office. After you attend Dog Days, you are welcome to speak with a counselor.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER ATTENDED FRESNO STATE and have not been formally admitted to the university, please contact University Outreach Services.
