Student Health Advisory Committee
SHAC is a group of students, faculty, and staff who are advisory to the Vice President for Student Affairs and the Director of the Student Health Center on the scope of service, delivery of services, funding, and other critical issues relating to health services on campus. SHAC members review the annual budget, review alternative revenue sources, and review periodic audits and surveys such as the annual Patient Satisfaction Survey. Members serve on selection committees and make recommendations of new Student Health Center staff and student staff appointments.
SHAC members also participate in events to promote healthy lifestyles and wellness opportunities. They are instrumental in getting feedback from students about the Student Health Center and its services. SHAC members serve as health advocates for Fresno State students and as a liaison between the SHC and the campus community.
