Immunizations and Skin Testing for Tuberculosis
The California State University system requires many students to be immunized against hepatitis B, measles, and rubella (German measles). Specific requirements are spelled out below. If you have questions about immunization requirements, give us a call at 278.2734.
A Word to the Wise: Students who have not satisfied the University's immunization requirements by the start of their second year at the University may not be allowed to register for classes until the requirement is satisfied. This could result in your not being able to enroll in the courses you want. Life will be easier if you take care of immunization requirements promptly!
Valid proof of immunization can be an official immunization record or a signed statement from a physician or health agency. This record may be mailed, faxed to (559) 278-7602, or brought directly to the Health Center. Health Center staff will review the form and, assuming it is complete, clear you for registration. If you do not have proof of immunization, we can immunize you. There may be a charge for the vaccine.
If you are not continuously enrolled at Fresno State, the record of your immunization clearance may be dropped from your enrollment records. We retain documentation of your clearance for a limited time and may be able to reinstate your clearance. We offer immunizations on a walk-in basis. Calling ahead (278.2734) for the best day or time may expedite your visit.
