We accept all valid prescriptions from community physicians and the Student Health and Counseling Center staff, provided we stock the medications. If you have a special need, please call us to make sure we can obtain your medication.
You can fill any prescription written by a Student Health and Counseling Center physician at an outside pharmacy, though we often offer lower prices than most community drug stores. Please note that prices are subject to change depending on availability.

We stock and use generics whenever possible. Prices may vary depending on availability.
Refills on existing prescriptions can be requested two ways:
- Requests can be made by calling the Pharmacy at 559.278.6720, or
- You can send a request via your Student Health Portal
Contact the Pharmacy at least one business day before needing the medication to allow time to process your request. This will also minimize your wait time.
If you have no refills, we will contact your provider to request a refill at his or her discretion. Filled prescriptions are left on the Pharmacy shelf for seven days. Prescriptions not picked up within seven days will be reprocessed.

Prescriptions belong to the pharmacy that fills them. However, they may be transferred via phone by the pharmacist. For example, if you are out of town and need a prescription transferred to that town, you must phone the pharmacy in that town, give them the name of the pharmacy, phone number, and name of the medication you want transferred and the filling pharmacy will call.
Once a prescription is transferred, it is then the property of the pharmacy it was transferred to. If you return to Fresno State after a prescription has been transferred, it must be transferred a second time to bring it back here. It can take a significant amount of time to complete these transactions. Please plan ahead.
All medications incur a small fee that covers our costs.
At this time we do not have the ability to bill your insurance, but we can give you a receipt for your insurance request for reimbursement. We accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard. We also accept the Family PACT card.
